In a World of the Broken Hearted - A book of verse - Dr. Umanand Prasad

Recently I reread a book by my late father Dr. Umanand Prasad and thought that I would use this blog to type a verse every now again.

I have gained permission from his wife and my mother Dr. Uma Prasad to reproduce this.

I am currently in the process of rewriting his book and adding my own verses.

To my Daughter

My Loving Daughter

Who loves me lot

Mothers are precious

Fathers never forgot

Accept My Salutations

The Lord of Creation

Accept my Salutations

At your feet I lie

Marvelling at your manifesatations

Bless me Lord

This is all I seek

You are known to be a friend

Of the weak and the meek

Your love knows no bound

I need your presence profound

Forgiveness is in your heart

Don’t keep me apart

From you I began

Now living in you

And at the day’s end

I hope to rest in you

Trilok Pati, Data, Sukhdhaam

Sweekaro mere pranam

Lord of Creation

Accept my Salutation

I remember helping my father type this book. Long hours at his surgery late into the night. He would write on old bits of paper and ask my to type it up.

I remember printing then he would cross out words, rewrite it a million times and then I would retype.

These are probably some of the best memories I had of him.
